typer is a free, open source and educational graphical software written in the C programming language and designed to help Linux users learn how to type faster and better on their keyboards.
typer has been specifically designed to be used under the GNOME desktop environment for training and learning keyboard typing. It features keyboard lessons, keyboard layouts, text file support, statistics, and fortune support.
The application makes use and contributes to the mkproject (Make Project) technology, with which it was generated. It only works under Linux-based operating systems, and no Windows or Mac port exists.
