Magnifier.js recreates a magnifying glass effect on Web pages.
It allows a user to hover his mouse over an image thumbnail and using a special zoom box around his cursor zoom in on the photo.
Magnifier.js uses a panel right next to the image to display the zoomed photo, or it can also display the zoomed data right inside the zoom box itself.
There's also a zoom control mechanism included, controlled via the mouse wheel.
The downside of Magnifier.js is that it always needs to versions of an image to work, a smaller thumbnail and a larger hi-res version.
Examples and usage instructions are included with the download package.
